Stockton’s newest semi-professional team on Thursday unveiled their logo. The Stockton Cargo Soccer Club event happened at Michael’s New York Style Pizza.
“The Cargo obviously has ties to the in Port of Stockton, since its inception and has defined Stockton, CA,” club president Lee Neves said.
The United Soccer League (USL) announced Stockton as the USL W League’s first expansion team for the 2023 season. The addition will establish a W League presence in California.
The franchise will serve as a pro pathway for soccer players starting in 2023 with their season beginning in May and tryouts expected for next April.
